My name is Martha, and I am Nancy’s daughter, and a fellow traveler on the dementia journey.
This blog began as a way to honor my mother, Nancy, and to share the lessons I’ve learned while walking beside her through dementia. Like many families, ours has experienced both the challenges and the heartaches that come with memory loss. Yet amid those challenges, I’ve discovered something unexpected: love continues to find a way.
Through this journey, I’ve learned that joy arrives quietly, wrapped in ordinary days and unexpected blessings.
My hope is that this blog offers encouragement, understanding, and companionship to others who are caring for someone they love. Whether you’re a caregiver, a family member, a friend, or simply someone seeking hope, I invite you to join me as I share stories, reflections, and moments from life with my mom.
Most of all, I hope these pages remind us that while dementia may change many things, it cannot erase the heart’s memory of love, the beauty of connection, or the grace found in each new day.
Thank you for being here.
Martha
